Why can't I access the AP via SSH with the regular vSCG credentials?

Summary

SSH into vSCG controlled AP is handled at the GUI of the vSCG and the username and password is generally different from the vSCG credentials. The credentials can be modified in the GUI of the vSCG.

Question

Why can't I access the AP via SSH with the regular vSCG credentials?

Customer Environment

Enterprise vSCG and AP running 3.0.4.0.667. No SSH access.

Root Cause

Troubleshooting Steps

Can ping the AP, vSCG credentials do not work.

Workaround

N.A.

Resolution

First thing is to make sure that one can ping the AP that one is trying to access via SSH.  If one can ping, then make sure that the credentials are set correctly at the following vSCG configuration window.
