How to upgrade FM using a patch file?

Root Cause

Upgrade FlexMaster to be compatible with managed devices and to make use of new features in the latest version.

Resolution

First download the target version patch file from the Ruckus Support website.

Applying Patch to flexmaster:
Upgrade process:
 
1) Access the Red Hat Linux CLI as the root user
 
2) Copy patch file to FlexMaster installation folder (opt/FlexMaster), 
 
example:
 
# cp /home/9.3.0.0.18-9.4.0.0.17/9.4.0.0.17.patch /opt/FlexMaster/
 
3) Change path to FlexMaster installation path, example:
 
# cd /opt/Flexmaster
 
4) Execute ./upgrade script to upgrade FlexMaster (command should be run without the .patch extension at the end of the file name).

example:
 
# ./upgrade.sh 9.4.0.0.17
 
5) Please clear the browser cache before accessing upgraded FM's GUI.
 
Note: FM upgrade patch file will work only in CLI mode.
